Headteacher's message

Welcome to St John Vianney School’s website. I am extremely honoured to be the Headteacher of St John Vianney School and want to thank the staff, pupils and parents who have welcomed me into the St John Vianney family over the past months. I spent significant time in School before the summer break, familiarising myself with the facilities and environment, but more importantly introducing myself to the staff, governors and parents of children who attend our School. It was a great opportunity to get to know the wonderful young people who are clearly very proud to attend our unique School.

In my time in School so far, I have been impressed with the systems in place, the caring and nurturing environment provided and the outstanding relationships that I have witnessed between the children and all other stakeholders of the School. The professionalism that clearly exists across the School has been palpable every day I have been in School.

Equally impressive has been witnessing how the strong catholic ethos that exists at St John Vianney underpins all aspects of the School, driving the collective mission to provide a place where everyone, through hard work and service to others, can reach their full potential and fully use the talents and skills given to them by God.

The governors, staff and I are highly ambitious for St John Vianney, to ensure our School provision is truly outstanding in all areas. I have more than 25 years’ experience in education, including many years in senior leadership and as a Headteacher. I have every intention of using my skills and experience to improve further our offer to the children we serve and I will be working closely alongside pupils, staff, parents and governors to ensure that the School moves forward positively, securing the best outcomes for all children attending St John Vianney.

I look forward to meeting with you in the near future and working with you to ensure St John Vianney is the only choice of School for your child.
