A Message from Miss Murphy:
Hello Parents of Pink Class,As it was St. George’s Day last week, there’s a bit of a knights and dragons theme this week. For English, read the story of St. George and the Dragon, and then complete the activities attached as best you can. There’s also some dragon themed maths activities to go with our theme for this week, as well as some number sequencing and number formation. In science, we’re thinking about our bodies, the names of our body parts and some life skills to keep our bodies healthy. I think this is an important subject so I’ll carry this on into next week too. There’s lots of cut and stick activities; please let me know if you’re unsure how to do some of these. For topic I’ve added some ideas to keep hands, bodies and minds busy throughout the week. For the board game, if the children struggle to communicate a time they feel that emotion, they could just use their face or body to show that emotion.Don’t forget, I’m also setting plenty of activities on Education City, many of which are tablet-friendly. If you’re unsure of login details, please get in touch. There’s also lots going on over on Twitter, including little challenges and lots of updates from staff. The school’s main account is @StJohnVianneySc and my account is @MissMurphySJV.Finally, I’ll post some links to some of the songs we often sing along and dance to in our Wake Up Shake Up sessions. I’ll also share them on my Twitter page.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwT5oX_mqS0 - Shake Your Sillies Outhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-rg7EIt1x4 - Herman The Wormhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71hqRT9U0wg - If You’re Happy And You Know Ithttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_ShP3fiEhU - Going On A Bear HuntHave a good week,Miss Murphy.
